The US Department of Education, National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES), each year gathers a large amount of data from all post secondary educational institutions using the survey system IPEDS, (the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System).

SCHEV, the State Council of Higher Education of Virginia, collects data and provides reports on post secondary institutions within the state.
